### Bank of Baroda Introduces Iris Biometric Authentication for KIOSK Channel Bank of Baroda has introduced **UIDAI-certified Iris Biometric Authentication** in its **KIOSK Channel**, making customer authentication more secure, reliable, and convenient. The new feature will be available **from 23 July 2026** and is designed to improve service delivery for Business Correspondents (BCs), especially in cases where fingerprint authentication is unsuccessful. With this enhancement, BC Partners can use the **Mantra MIS100V2 Iris Device** to authenticate customers through iris recognition. This ensures uninterrupted banking services even for customers with worn-out fingerprints, senior citizens, or individuals whose fingerprints are difficult to capture. The Iris Authentication feature supports a wide range of banking services, including: * Cash Deposit * Cash Withdrawal * Balance Enquiry * Mini Statement * Account Opening * Atal Pension Yojana (APY) * Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) * Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) * e-KYC / Re-KYC * Aadhaar Seeding / Mobile Number Update (where applicable) * Other biometric-enabled banking services available through the KIOSK Channel This initiative enhances transaction security, improves authentication success rates, and ensures faster service delivery.
